Our Story
We provide in-store jewellery valuations at conveniently located retail jewellery stores in North Rocks, Tuggerah, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill and Penrith. All stores have qualified jewellers at the location to clean and inspect your pieces prior to the valuation process. There is no need for your items to leave the store.
Our Team
Mark Mitchell FGAA
Mark began his career in December 1997 as a retail jewellery sales assistant for Vivien's Jewellers.
In 2000, he completed a Diploma of Gemmological Studies from the Gemmological Association of Australia in Melbourne, Victoria before becoming the repair department manager for Prouds Jewellers in Swanston Street Melbourne and then the Swiss watch manager for Prouds Jewellers in Swanton street Melbourne.
In 2003, Mark returned to Sydney, Australia and took up the position of senior jewellery valuer for the Valuation Centre of Australia in Chatswood, NSW.
Between 2003 - 2020, Mark held the position of senior jewellery valuer at the Valuation Centre of Australia. During this time, Mark had the responsibility of managing the valuations for over 500 retail jewellery stores across Australia. Mark also oversaw the grading & quality control of loose diamond parcels for the nations largest retail jewellery company, Prouds Jewellers.
In 2020, Mark left the business to start his own independent jewellery valuation company, Mitchell's Jewellery Valuations.
Mitchell's Jewellery Valuations prides itself on an independent and professional service with wholesale and retail clients throughout Sydney, Penrith & NSW Central Coast.
Mark has been a member of the Australian Gemmological Association since 2000. He has also gained qualifications in Diamond Grading, Coloured stone grading & jewellery valuations from the GAA, NCJV, GIA, NAJA.
Mark has studied in Sydney, Melbourne, London & Singapore and will use this extensive knowledge and experience to provide the jewellery industry with continued professional, quality jewellery appraisals and valuations for many years to come.

Depending on market trends, it is recommended to have items valued every 18 months to two years.
